A product of Newark, Husain graduated from St. Benedict’s Preparatory School. He then matriculated at Georgetown University. Prior to graduation, he held judicial externships at the federal trial and appellate levels.

Active in social and community affairs, Gatlin is committed to advancing the communities where he lives and works. Immediately after law school, Gatlin clerked for the Honorable Sherry A. Hutchins-Henderson, Judge of the Superior Court. Thereafter, he entered government service beginning his career with the most extensive public interest firm in New Jersey. He later joined a renowned criminal defense firm until establishing Gatlin Law.
